How to Quickly Insert Current Date and Time in Google Sheets (Khmer)

Hello everyone! Today I show you fast keyboard shortcuts to insert current date, current time, and date-time in Google Sheets step by step with easy video guide in Khmer language.

When recording daily logs, attendance, or transactions, typing dates manually takes too much time. Use these 3 fast keyboard shortcuts instead!

Shortcut 1: Insert Current Date

To stamp today date into any cell instantly:

• Windows: Press Ctrl + ; (Control + Semicolon)
• Mac: Press Cmd + ;

Result: Inserts static date like 13/09/2026. It will never change tomorrow!

Shortcut 2: Insert Current Time

To stamp current exact time (e.g. check-in or check-out time):

• Windows: Press Ctrl + Shift + ; (Control + Shift + Semicolon)
• Mac: Press Cmd + Shift + ;

Result: Inserts static time like 03:15 PM.

Shortcut 3: Insert Current Date and Time Together

To stamp both date and time inside 1 single cell:

• Windows: Press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + ;
• Mac: Press Cmd + Option + Shift + ;

Result: Inserts full timestamp like 13/09/2026 15:15:00.

Alternative: Dynamic Date & Time Formulas

If you want the date and time to update automatically whenever you open sheet:

• Today Date: =TODAY()
• Current Date & Time: =NOW()
