🛠️ Method 1: Using Header & Footer View
- Switch to Page Layout View: Click View tab -> Page Layout (or click the Page Layout view icon at the bottom-right status bar).
- Click Header or Footer: Click the top margin area (Header) or bottom margin area (Footer).
- Insert Page Number:
- Go to the Header & Footer tab in the top ribbon.
- Click Page Number to insert
&[Page](displays1,2,3). - Click Number of Pages to insert
&[Pages](displays total page count).
💡 Format "Page 1 of N":
Type the text manually in the Header/Footer box:
Page &[Page] of &[Pages]
- Result on Print:
Page 1 of 5,Page 2 of 5, etc.

📄 Method 2: Using Page Setup Dialog Box
- Open Page Setup: Go to Page Layout tab -> click the small diagonal arrow icon at the bottom-right of Page Setup group.
- Select Header/Footer Tab: Click the Header/Footer tab at the top of the dialog window.
- Choose Preset:
- Click Header or Footer dropdown menu.
- Select "Page 1" or "Page 1 of ?".
- Click OK to save.

💡 Pro Tips for Excel Page Numbers
- Difference Between
&[Page]and&[Pages]:&[Page]is current page number;&[Pages]is total number of pages in the document. - Hide Page Number on Cover Page: Check "Different First Page" under Header & Footer options if page 1 is a title or cover page.
- Always Verify with Print Preview: Press
