Hello everyone! Today I show you how to count and find unique value in Excel step by step with simple examples and video in khmer.

If you have big list in Excel and you want know how many unique value inside? or maybe you want pull out only the one that not repeat? Today I show you easy way to do it. No worry, I explain everything step by step, very simple. Video below is in Khmer so you can follow along easy.

1. Use Filter & Advance Filter to Find Unique Value

First way is use Filter and Advance Filter. This method very good because it work on all version of Excel. You just select your data, go to Data tab, click Advance Filter, then check the box "Unique records only". Boom — now you see only unique value, duplicate gone already.

2. Use COUNTA to Count Unique Value

Second way is use COUNTA function. After you filter out unique value, you can use =COUNTA() to count how many unique item you got. Very useful when boss ask you "how many different product we have?" — you can answer in 2 second.

💡 If you use Excel 365 or Excel 2021, you can try =UNIQUE(A2:A100) — this formula auto pull out all unique value for you, no need filter. Super fast and easy!
